Past Eras In Cyclic Cosmological Models

چکیده

In infinitely cyclic cosmology past eras are discussed using set theory and transfinite numbers. One consistent scenario, already in the literature, is where there is always a countably infinite number, א0, of universes and no big bang. I describe here an alternative where the present number of universes is א0 and in the infinite past there was only a finite number of universes. In this alternative model it is also possible that there was no big bang. ∗[email protected]

Epistemology in Cyclic Time

Consider the scenario, in which human civilization undergoes periodic eras of progression and regression, and consequently, changes in cosmological knowledge are cyclic. There exist solutions of general theory of relativity, such as the Gödel universe, in which the cosmos is rotating. If the real universe is indeed rotating, than this would be a reversion to rotating universe models, used in an...

Can Conformal Weyl Gravity Be Considered a Viable Cosmological Theory? 1

We present exact solutions to the conformal Weyl gravity cosmological equations valid for both the matter and radiation dominated eras. We show that the cosmological models derived from this theory are not likely to reproduce the observational properties of our Universe. They fail to fullll simultaneously the observational constraints on present cosmological parameters and on primordial light e...

Bulk viscous string cosmological models in Saez – Ballester theory of gravitation

Spatially homogeneous Bianchi type-II, VIII and IX anisotropic, as well as isotropic cosmological models can be obtained in a scalar tensor theory of gravitation proposed by Saez and Ballester (1986) when the source for energy momentum tensor is a bulk viscous fluid containing one-dimensional cosmic strings. All the models obtained and presented here are expanding, non-rotating and accelerating...

We consider scalar perturbations of energy–density for a class of cosmological models where an early phase of accelerated expansion evolves, without any fine– tuning for graceful exit, towards the standard Friedman eras of observed universe. The quantum geometric procedure which generates such models agrees with results for string cosmology since it works if dynamics is dominated by a primordia...

Bulk Viscous Bianchi Type VI0 Cosmological Model in the Self-creation Theory of Gravitation and in the General Theory of Relativity

In the second self-creation theory of gravitation and in the general theory of relativity, Bianchi type VI0 cosmological model in the presence of viscous fluid is studied. An exact solution of the field equations is given by considering the cosmological model yields a constant decelerations parameter q=constant and the coefficients of the metric are taken as A(t)=[c1t+c<su...
